1. Keep carob into the large bowl and use your hands to break up the pods.
2. Fill water in a saucepan and boil it over medium-high heat. Once boiled, pour the water over the carob and allow it to submerge completely. It is recommended to start the process at night since it is a time-consuming process. Use plastic wrap to seal the bowl.
3. After 8 hours, peel the plastic wrap and nest a strainer in the saucepan and pour the hydrated carob pods into it.
