THIS IS A BENGALI DELICACY FROM EAST BENGAL ( NOW BANGLADESH ). YOU CAN PREPARE THIS WITH BHETKI FILLET, HILSA, & OTHER FISH. GOES WELL WITH STEAMED RICE.
Ingredients
  Bagda prawn 450 Gram
  Grated coconut 1⁄2
  Green chilly paste To Taste
  White mustard seed paste 2 Teaspoon
  Black mustard seed paste 1 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Sugar 1 Pinch
  Garlic flakes 2 , ground to paste
  Mustard oil 50 Gram
  Banana leaves 2
  Refined oil 150 Gram
Directions

METHOD :

WASH & PEEL PRAWN .MIX TOGETHER GRATED COCONUT , MUSTARD OIL ,GREEN CHILLY PASTE ,MUSTARD SEED PASTE (BOTH BLACK &WHITE ), SUGAR , SALT , GARLIC PASTE , MARINATE PRAWN IN THIS MARINADE FOR ½ HOUR . MEAN TIME STEAM BANANA LEAVES SO THAT IT DON’T BREAK ON FOLDING. KEEP MARINATED PRAWN ON COCONUT LEAVES,FOLD &TIE WITH STRING . HEAT REFINED OIL & FRY WRAPPED PRAWN . YOU CAN ALSO STEAM . SERVE HOT WITH STEAMED RICE.

This sounds wonderful and I am going to make it with the large fresh watwr prawn from Kalkata! They are the best. Wish you would post photographs of your wonderful recipes.
