Pralines

Ingredients
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Pecan halves 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Buttermilk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Combine sugar, pecan halves, buttermilk, butter, and salt in a 4-quart casserole, stirring well.
Microwave at HIGH 12 to 13 minutes, stirring every 4 minutes.
Stir in soda until foamy.
Microwave at HIGH 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.
Beat mixture with a wooden spoon until mixture just begins to thicken.
Working rapidly, drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased waxed paper, let pralines stand until firm.
