Ingredients
  Sugar 5 Cup (80 tbs) (Divided, 1 cup plus 2 cups)
  Pet milk 3⁄4 Can (7.5 oz) (1 Small Can)
  White karo syrup 1 Tablespoon
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Pecans 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Directions

Caramelize 1 cup of sugar over low heat until just melted.
At the same time, boil 2 cups sugar, milk and white Karo for 3 minutes.
Add caramel syrup to the boiling mixture, stirring rapidly.
Cook to soft ball stage.
Remove from heat.
Add butter, vanilla and pecans.
Beat until it holds its shape.
Drop on waxed paper.
Yields about. 36.
