Pralines

Ingredients
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Water 1 Tablespoon
  Pecans 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Pet milk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  White karo corn syrup 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Combine all ingredients except vanilla in heavy saucepan; stir until mixed.
Heat over medium-high heat until mixture comes to a boil, then cook over medium heat, stirring continually, until candy forms a firm ball in cold water.
Remove from heat, pour into glass or stainless steel bowls.
Add vanilla, beat by hand until candy is creamy.
Drop on wax paper from tablespoon.
Store in a tin or cookie jar.
This recipe comes horn New Orleans, yet it is ditierent from most pralines.
