Broiled Praline Topping
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Flaked coconut||2 1⁄2 Ounce, chopped|
|Nuts||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), chopped|
|Packed brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
1. About 10 minutes before 13" by 9" cake has finished baking, in 2-quart saucepan over low heat, heat butter or margarine until melted. Stir in coconut and remaining ingredients until mixed. Remove saucepan from heat.
2. When cake is done, turn oven control to broil. Spread coconut mixture over hot cake. Broil cake 2 minutes or until golden.
