|Light brown sugar||3 Cup (48 tbs) (firmly packed)|
|Pecan meats||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Combine sugar, water, and butter in a saucepan.
Cook over a low heat until candy thermometer indicates 238° or until a little syrup dropped into cold water forms a soft ball which flattens when taken out of the water.
Add pecans and stir until mixture adheres to the nuts.
Remove from heat and continue stirring until candy is thick and opaque.
Drop from a tablespoon onto wax paper, making small patties.
