Split the birds in half and remove the backbone and neck.
Marinate birds overnight in creole barbecue Sauce.
Place bird halves on a grill 5 inches from glowing coals.
Barbecue 25 minutes, turning several times and basting with the barbecue sauce.
Serve with barbecued yams
