Boiled potato is a filling, bland vegetable dish that is usually consumed as a meal. The skin of the potato may be peeled before or after boiling the potato. Cleaned potatoes are immersed fully in salt-flavored water and boiled till done. Boiled potatoes are tender and can be tested for doneness by inserting a knife into them. If the knife can be pushed into the potato effortlessly, the potatoes are said to have been completely boiled.
