Potato Planks

Ingredients
  Potatoes 3 Medium, cut lengthwise into eighths
  Vegetable oil   (as required)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Paprika 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Dry mustard 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Garlic powder 1⁄8 Teaspoon
Directions

Set oven control to broil and/or 550°.
Place potatoes, cut sides down, in ungreased jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 1000 1/2X 1 inch; brush with oil.
Mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle potatoes with half of the mixture.
Broil potatoes with tops about 3 inches from heat until potatoes begin to bubble slightly, about 10 minutes.
Turn; brush with oil and sprinkle with remaining salt mixture.
Broil until golden brown and tender, about 5 minutes longer.
Serve with dairy sour cream if desired.
