Fried Raw Potatoes
|Fat||4 Tablespoon (butter, margarine or salad oil or 2 tablespoons fat plus 2 tablespoons bacon drippings))|
Peel potatoes and onions; slice fairly thin.
Melt fat in large frying pan over medium heat.
Put in about 1/2 the potatoes, next the onions, then remaining potatoes; sprinkle with seasonings.
Cover pan, and cook about 10 minutes, at which time bottom layer will be lightly browned and potatoes almost tender.
Turn potatoes, using wide spatula.
Let cook uncovered another 15Ã¢â‚¬â€20 minutes, turning once or twice for even browning.
