Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes and Ham
|Onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Milk||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Potatoes||4 , peeled and sliced thin|
|Chopped ham||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cheddar cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs), shredded|
For sauce, cook onion in butter until tender, stir in flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
Add milk all at once, cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
Add cheese and stir until melted.
Remove from heat.
Layer half the potatoes and ham in a greased casserole.
Cover with 1/2 of sauce.
Repeat layers and cover with remaining sauce.
Bake covered at 350 degrees for 35 minutes, then uncover and bake 30 minutes more until potatoes are tender.
