Homemade Mashed Potatoes
|Potatoes||3 1⁄4 Pound, pared and quartered (9 Medium Sized)|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
In large saucepan, in 1-inch boiling salted water, cook potatoes, covered; boil 20 to 25 minutes or until fork-tender.
Place over low heat 1 or 2 minutes to dry out, shaking pan gently.
With potato masher or electric mixer, mash potatoes thoroughly until smooth.
Beat in enough butter and milk to make potatoes fluffy.
Season to taste.
