Fried Potato Slices In A Light Gram Flour Batter

Ingredients
  Gram flour 4 Ounce (125 Gram)
  White cumin seeds 1 Teaspoon
  Crushed dried red chilies 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Soda bicarbonate 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pomegranate seed powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Fresh green chili 1 , chopped
  Fresh red chilies 1 , chopped
  Chopped fresh coriander 1 Tablespoon
  Water 3⁄4 Pint (300 - 450 Milliliter)
  Oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Deep Frying)
  Potatoes 2 , peeled and cut into 1/4 inch slices
Directions

1. Sift the gram flour into a large bowl. Add the cumin seeds, crushed red chillies, salt, bicarbonate of soda, pomegranate seed powder, fresh green and red chillies and fresh coriander and stir to mix. Add sufficient water to form a thin batter which will thinly coat the potatoes.
2. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan. Dip the potato slices one at a time into the batter and then fry in the hot oil. Lift out with a slotted spoon and allow to drain on kitchen paper before serving.
