Ham, Cheese And Potato Bake

  Potatoes 2 Pound, scrubbed and thinly sliced (1 Kilogram)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Ham 4 Ounce, chopped (125 Gram)
  Grated low fat cheese/Low cholesterol cheese 4 Ounce (125 Gram Or 1 Cup)
  Ground nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Freshly ground black pepper To Taste
  Chicken stock 21 Fluid Ounce (2 1/2 Cups Or 625 Milliliter)
  Polyunsaturated margarine 1 Ounce (30 Grams)
  Chopped mixed herbs 1 Tablespoon (Fresh Ones)

Preheat oven to 1 80°C (350°F).
Place a layer of potatoes on the base of a lightly greased casserole dish.
Sprinkle with garlic.
Continue layering with ham, half the cheese and remaining potato, sprinkling with nutmeg and pepper between each layer.
Finish with a potato layer.
Pour over stock.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Dot with margarine.
Bake for a further 20 minutes or until golden.
