Ham, Cheese And Potato Bake
|Potatoes||2 Pound, scrubbed and thinly sliced (1 Kilogram)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed|
|Ham||4 Ounce, chopped (125 Gram)|
|Grated low fat cheese/Low cholesterol cheese||4 Ounce (125 Gram Or 1 Cup)|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Freshly ground black pepper||To Taste|
|Chicken stock||21 Fluid Ounce (2 1/2 Cups Or 625 Milliliter)|
|Polyunsaturated margarine||1 Ounce (30 Grams)|
|Chopped mixed herbs||1 Tablespoon (Fresh Ones)|
Preheat oven to 1 80°C (350°F).
Place a layer of potatoes on the base of a lightly greased casserole dish.
Sprinkle with garlic.
Continue layering with ham, half the cheese and remaining potato, sprinkling with nutmeg and pepper between each layer.
Finish with a potato layer.
Pour over stock.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Dot with margarine.
Bake for a further 20 minutes or until golden.
