Skillet Tomato Potatoes

Ingredients
  Melted butter/Margarine / fat / / salad oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Raw white potatoes 1 Quart, pared and sliced
  Thinly sliced onions 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Canned tomatoes 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Salt 1 Tablespoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Combine butter and water in skillet.
Arrange potatoes and onions in layers on top.
Cover, and simmer 10 min.
Add tomatoes, to which salt and pepper have been added.
Cover, and simmer 20 min longer.
