Potatoes A La Crème

Ingredients
  Instant mashed potatoes 3 Ounce (1 envelope, 4 serving size)
  Egg yolks 2 , beaten
  Light cream 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 , grated
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Egg whites 2 , stiffly beaten
Directions

1. Start heating oven to 350°F.
2. Make up instant mashed potatoes as package label directs; stir in egg yolks, cream, butter, onion, and pepper. Then fold in egg whites; turn into greased 1-quart casserole.
3. Bake 30 to 40 minutes, or until top is puffy and golden.
