Potato Sagle / Humman

This is one of the common and very easy recipes of Karnataka. There are many variations to this recipe. You can prepare the same curry using arbi. You can prepare the same curry using shrimp which we call shrimp ghashi in konkani.
Ingredients
  Potatoes 3 , pressure cook and cut into 1"cubes
  Coconut 2 Cup (32 tbs), frozen
  Asafoetida 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Red chillies 8 (fry in little oil)
  Tamarind paste 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
Directions

1. Prepare masala by grinding coconut, red chilli , tamarind paste and asafoetida by adding about 1 cup of water.
2. Add it to cooked potatoes along with salt and some more water to make it a medium thick gravy .
3. Bring it to a boil.
4. Cover and cook on low flame for about 10-15 minutes.
5. Serve hot with plain rice.

Good one. But it looks very similar to your Potato Song Recipe except that this one has coconut and hing. It looks really good though!

Thanks Snigdha... It may look like potato song but the taste of both recipes are different.
