Scalloped Potatoes With Garlic And Cream

Ingredients
  White potatoes 2 Pound (Medium Sized)
  Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Heavy cream 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced (1 Large Clove)
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  White pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Grated swiss cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a shallow baking dish with butter.
Peel, wash, and dry potatoes. Slice about 1/8" thick. (A food processor would do this well.)
Place the potatoes in a large saucepan. Add the milk, cream, garlic, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat after it boils.
Pour the potato mixture into prepared baking dish. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake at 350° for 1 hour.
Potatoes are done when they can be pierced with a fork and are golden brown on top. sprinkle chopped parsley,if desired.
