Place potato slices in 1 1/2-quart microwavable casserole.
Drizzle potatoes with margarine.
Sprinkle with garlic and half of the cheese.
Cover tightly and microwave on high 4 minutes.
Stir and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Cover tightly and microwave 3 to 6 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Let stand covered 3 minutes.
