potato Vaagu

Ingredients
  Potatoes 3 Medium
  Fresh peas/Frozen peas 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Curry leaves 4 (few)
  Asafoetida 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Red chilli powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Oil 3 Tablespoon
  Mustard seeds 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Tomatoes 2
  Coriander powder 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Cook potatoes and dice or mash them. Dice the Tomatoes.

Heat oil in a vessel and add mustard. When they splutter add curry leaves.

Now add the red chilli powder, coriander powder, asafoetida and tomatoes. Cook till tomatoes are done. ( Do this on a lower heat otherwise the masala will burn)

Now add the potatoes and salt to taste. Add about 3/4 cup of water. When it starts to boil cover and cook on a low flame for about 7 minutes.

Serve hot with rice and dal.
