Ingredients
  Butter 20 Milliliter (1 1/2 Tablespoons)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Potatoes 4 Large, peeled and sliced
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Hot milk 750 Milliliter (3 Cups)
  Gruyere cheese 310 Milliliter, grated (1 1/4 Cups)
  Nutmeg 1 Pinch
Directions

GETTING READY
1 Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C)
2 In a bowl, combine butter and garlic.
3 Grease a casserole dish using the butter and garlic mixture.

MAKING
4 Arrange sliced potatoes in the prepared casserole dish.
5 In a bowl, mix egg, milk and cheese together.
6 Pour over the potatoes.
7 Sprinkle with nutmeg.
8 Bake in the oven for 1 1/4 hours or until tender.

SERVING
9 Serve hot.
