Fried Potato Patties

Ingredients
  Potatoes 4 Medium, peeled and shredded
  Onion 1 Small, finely chopped
  Egg 1 , beaten
  All purpose flour 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper red 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Vegetable oil 100 Millilitre
Directions

Squeeze potatoes between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Combine all ingredients except vegetable oil, stirring well.
Drop 1/4 cup of potato mixture at a time into 1/8 inch hot oil; press into 3 inch rounds with the back of a fork.
Fry until golden brown, turning once.
Drain well.
