Potato Apple Skillet
|Curry powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Canned sliced potatoes||16 Ounce (2 Cans, 16 Ounces Each)|
|Minced dried onion||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Apples||2 Medium, cored and sliced (2 Cups)|
|Sliced celery||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chicken gravy||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||2 Ounce (1/2 Cup)|
In skillet cook bacon and curry powder till bacon is crisp.
Remove bacon, reserving drippings.
Crumble bacon; set aside.
Meanwhile, drain potatoes, reserving 1 cup of the liquid.
Stir in onion; set aside.
In reserved drippings cook unpeeled apples and celery till crisp-tender.
Stir in Chicken Gravy Base.
Add reserved potato liquid; cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Stir in potatoes and bacon; sprinkle cheese atop.
Cover and cook over low heat for 5 to 7 minutes or till hot.
