Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients
  Onion 1 Small, finely chopped
  Shortening 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  All purpose flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Seasoned salt 2 Teaspoon
  Seasoned pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Raw potatoes 1 Quart, thinly sliced
  Buttered bread cubes 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Small)
Directions

Saute onion in shortening until tender, about 5 minutes.
Blend in flour, seasoned salt and pepper.
Gradually stir in milk.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened.
Combine potatoes and sauce in a buttered 2-quart baking dish.
Top potatoes with buttered bread cubes.
Bake at 375° for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender.
