Pear Port Soup

Pear Port Soup is a delicious appetizer recipe that you will simply love to serve to your loved ones. I am sure, once you try this, you will always crave for some more.
Ingredients
  Peeled cored and chopped ripe anjou pears 3 Pound (About 8 Cups)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Tawny port 5 Cup (80 tbs)
  Water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
Directions

Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 45 minutes, uncovered, until the pears are tender enough to be easily mashed with a wooden spoon.
Puree in a food processor or blender and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
