Laurentian Pork Chops And Maple Sugar
|Pork chops||6 , cut about 1 inch thick|
|Red apples||3 , cored and halved|
|Maple sugar||6 Tablespoon|
|Light cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Brown chops evenly on both sides in a skillet.
Drain off fat if necessary.
Season chops with salt and pepper.
Put apple halves, cut side up, on chops and top with maple sugar.
Pour in cream and cover.
Cook over low heat about 45 minutes, or until chops are tender.
