Braised Pork Chops

Have chops cut about 3/4 in thick from the ribs or loin.
Dredge with flour, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and brown well on all sides in a frying pan (fry fat edge first and no additional fat will be needed).
Add 1/2in.-water.and cover tightly cook slowly for almost 1 hour, turning occasionally
