Fruited Pork Chops

|Pork loin chops||6 , well trimmed (About 1 Inch Thick)|
|Cooking oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Tart apples||6 , cored and thickly sliced|
|Dried currants||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
In skillet, brown chops in oil.
Sprinkle with salt during browning; drain well.
Place chops in crock pot.
Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chops.
Cover and cook on low setting for 7 to 9 hours.
