Pizza Pork Chops
|Pork chops||4 , cut 0.75 inch thick|
|Onion||1 Small, chopped|
|Herb seasoned stuffing mix||8 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dried oregano||1⁄4 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Canned pizza sauce||8 Ounce|
|Canned sliced mushrooms||3 Ounce, drained|
|Shredded mozzarella cheese||4 Ounce (1 Package)|
Trim excess fat from chops; set chops aside.
In medium saucepan cook onion in margarine or butter till tender but not brown.
Add stuffing mix, water, and oregano to cooked onion; stir till well com bined.
In a 12 x 7 1/2 x2 inch baking dish divide stuffing mixture into 4 mounds (put about 1/2 cup stuffing in each mound and shape with your hands).
Place a pork chop atop each stuffing mound.
Pour the pizza sauce over the pork chops.
Sprinkle the drained mushrooms atop the sauce.
Cover with foil and bake in 350Â° oven about 1 hour or till chops are tender.
Sprinkle chops with shredded cheese.
