Pork With Apples

  Lean pork 2 1⁄2 Pound, cut into 1 inch cubes
  Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Paprika 2 Teaspoon
  Apple cider 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Tart apples 4 , peeled, cored, and cut into 1 inch cubes
  All purpose flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), mixed
  Scallions 2 , thinly sliced
  Ground black pepper To Taste

Brown pork in hot oil in a large skillet.
Drain away accumulated fat.
Place meat in slow cooker with sugar, salt, and paprika.
Add some of the cider to the skillet and stir to pick up the browned bits.
Add to slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low about 8 hours.
Add apples the last 3 hours of cooking.
Pour off juice and thicken in a saucepan with flour water paste.
Return to stew: Gar nish with scallions and black pepper.
