I challenged my Smoky Ribs followers to come up with a great football party food, and in this video I am making a recipe that Kevin Buss submitted in the comment section of the post I made. These were just out of this world! So good, and thank you so much Kevin, for giving me the idea to make these! I will do these again, very soon!
Pork tenderloins | 2 , cut into 1/4 inch slices
Bacon rashers | 12 | |
Pecan | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
For the honey mustard sauce
Mustard sauce | 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Honey | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Barbecue sauce | 5 Tablespoon
Hot pepper sauce | 1 Teaspoon |
GETTING READY
1. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for the honey mustard sauce. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to use.
2. In a food processor, put the pecans and chop them roughly.
3. Prepare the grill.
MAKING
4. Place a strip of pork tenderloin on a flat surface and place a bacon strip on it. Roll it up as as shown in the video. Cut each roll in to half and secure with a toothpick. Repeat with all the pork and bacon strips.
5. Divide the honey mustard sauce in to two parts reserving one half to be used as a dipping sauce.
6. In the remaining sauce, dip each prepared roll and coat evenly. Arrange the rolls on a tray.
7. Sprinkle the rolls with chopped pecans, turn them and sprinkle with pecan on the other side as well.
8. Place the rolls on the grill and allow to cook on indirect heat. Flip carefully and allow to cook on the other side as well.
SERVING
9. Serve hot with the honey mustard dipping sauce.
