Pork Chops Gourmet
|Pork chops||6 , cut 1/2" thick|
|Fat||3 Tablespoon (Use enough Fat For Browning)|
|Black pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Add chops and brown well on both sides.
Sprinkle with mixture of salt and pepper.
Place chops in roasting pan or casserole.
Spread with prepared mustard.
Cover with sliced dill pickles, building a chop layer, mustard, pickles, etc.until all chops are covered.
Add pickle liquid, cover.
Cook over low heat 1 hour.
Add 1/4 cup DRY vermouth 20 minutes before end of cooking time.
Place on heated platter to serve.
