Pork Chop Suey
|Boneless pork||2 Pound, cubed|
|Canned bean sprouts||16 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Canned water chestnuts||5 Ounce, sliced (1 Can)|
|Canned bamboo shoots||8 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Canned sliced mushrooms||4 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Chopped green pepper||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Chopped green onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Celery stalks||3 , sliced into 1-inch pieces|
|Carrots||2 , sliced into 1/8-inch pieces|
|Monosodium glutamate||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
In 3-quart casserole combine pork, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, green pepper, green onions, 1/4 cup water, soy sauce, celery, carrots, sugar, salt and monosodium glutamate.
TO HEAT BY TIME Cover with plastic wrap.
Set Power Select at MEDIUM for 12 minutes and MEDIUM-LOW for 28 minutes.
TO HEAT BY INSTA-MATIC Cover completely with plastic wrap; heat on COOK 2.
After time appears in display window, stir occasionally.
Meanwhile, mix 2 tablespoons cornstarch with 1/2 cup water.
At the end of heating, add cornstarch and water to pork mixture; stir well.
Let STAND, covered, 15 minutes before serving.
