Pork Chops With Cherries

Ingredients
  Pork chops 4
  Fat 1 Teaspoon
  Canned pitted sweet cherries 17 Ounce (1 Can, 1 Pound 1 Ounce)
  Slivered almonds 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Whole cloves 6
  Cider vinegar 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Brown pork chops in a little fat.
Season with salt and pepper.
Combine cherries and syrup from can with almonds, cloves, vinegar, and a little red food coloring, if desired.
Pour over chops and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
