Pork Chops Sorrento
|Spaghetti sauce mix with tomatoes||3 Ounce (1 Envelope)|
|Mushroom buttons||4 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Seasoned salt||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Seasoned pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Salad oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Loin pork chops||6 (Each 1/2 Inch Thick)|
|Mozzarella cheese||8 Ounce, cut into 6 slices (1 Package)|
|Green pepper||1 Small, diced|
About 1 hour before serving: In bowl, combine spaghetti-sauce mix, 1 1/2 cups cold water, undrained mushrooms, seasoned salt and pepper.
In large skillet, in hot salad oil, saute chops until golden.
Pour off oil; add spaghetti-sauce mixture; simmer, covered, 40 minutes or until fork-tender, stirring occasionally.
Add green pepper to sauce; simmer, covered, 10 minutes.
Top each chop with cheese slice.
Heat until melted.
