Pork with Winter Radish
|Boneless pork||1 1⁄2 Pound, cubed|
|Winter radish||1 Pound, cut in to chunks|
|Hungarian paprika||1 Teaspoon|
|Sweet red pepper||10 Small, cut into rings (Fresh)|
Place the meat and radish chunks in a braising pan and season with salt.
Add half of the oil and about 1/2 cup [125 ml.] of warm water.
Simmer, covered, for about one hour or until the meat is tender, adding more water if necessary.
Heat the paprika in the remaining oil, without allowing it to fry.
Add this mixture to the stew with the peppers, and simmer a little longer, until the peppers are soft.
Let the stew rest for five minutes, then serve with hot garlic bread.
