Chinese Sweet And Pungent Pork
|Lean pork||1 1⁄2 Pound, cut into 1/2 inch cubes|
|Cooking oil||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Green peppers||2 , cut into eighths and seeded|
|Canned sliced apples||20 Ounce (1 Can, 2 1/2 Cup)|
|Chicken bouillon||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Hot rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Brown pork on all sides in hot oil.
Add green peppers, apples, and 1/3 cup bouillon.
Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
Blend together until smooth remaining bouillon, the cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and salt and pepper.
Add slowly to pork mixture.
Cook until sauce thickens, stirring.
Serve over rice.
