Barbecued Pork Backs

Ingredients
  Meaty pork backbones/Spareribs 3 Pound, cut into serving pieces
  Chili sauce 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Pineapple preserves 12 Ounce (1 jar / 1 cup)
  Vinegar 1⁄8 Cup (2 tbs)
Directions

Sprinkle meat with salt and broil bone side down on grill over slow coals about 20 minutes.
Now turn and let brown (about 8 minutes).
Turn ribs meaty side up again and broil about 20 minutes longer.
Combine remaining ingredients; brush on meat and continue broiling without turning 20 to 30 minutes or till done (no pink), basting occasionally with sauce.
To glaze, baste both sides of pork and broil 3 or 4 minutes per side.
