Pork Chops Alexander
|Boiling water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dried apricot halves||12|
|Pork chops||6 (3/4 Inch Thick)|
|Dried thyme leaves||1⁄4 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Maple flavored syrup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Pour boiling water over apricots; cool to room temperature; drain, reserving liquid.
In skillet, brown chops on both sides in hot fat.
Combine seasonings, maple-flavored syrup, and reserved liquid; pour over chops.
Place apricots on top of chops.
Cover; cook over low heat about 1 hour or till chops are done no pink.
Cook uncovered last few minutes, spooning sauce over chops.
