Pork Pocket Pasties
|Bulk pork sausage||1 Pound|
|Frozen hash browns||2 Cup (32 tbs), thawed|
|Carrot||1 Large, finely diced|
|Chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Shredded monterey jack cheese||6 Ounce (1 1/2 Cups)|
|Pita breads||4 , 6 inch sized, halved|
In a skillet, cook sausage until no longer pink; drain.
Add hash browns, carrot, onion, salt and pepper.
Cook until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
Remove from the heat; stir in cheese.
Spoon into pitas.
Place on an ungreased baking sheet; brush outside of pitas with butter.
Bake at 400° for 4-5 minutes or until heated through.
