Sweet Roast Pork

Ingredients
  Boneless pork 1 1⁄2 Pound, cut 1 1/2-inches thick
  Brown sugar 3 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Honey 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Soy sauce 1 Teaspoon
  White wine 1 Tablespoon
  Nam yue 3 Tablespoon (Red Bean Curd Sauce May Be Omitted)
  Monosodium glutamate 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Red food coloring 1 Tablespoon
  Water 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Allspice 1⁄8 Teaspoon (Heong Liu Fun)
Directions

Cut pork into cubes and rub with sugar.
Let stand for 5 mins.
Combine remaining ingredients, pour over pork and marinate overnight in refrigerator.
Drain pork and lay on rack placed over pan of water and roast at 350°F.for 1 hour.
Turn after 30 mins.and baste with remaining sauce.
Continue roasting for 30 mins.more.
This roast is delicious served hot or cold when sliced 1/8 inch thick.
It may be shredded and used as a topping for other dishes such as chop suey, chow mein, or fried rice.
