Pork Chops With Almond Plum Sauce

Pork chops with almond plum sauce is a fruited nutty pork recipe. A pan cooked pork recipe, the chops are prepared with a lemon juice and soy sauce marinade spiced with garlic and cayenne. Browned and cooked further with reserved marinade and plum jam, the pork is finished to a saucy texture. served with almonds sprinkled on top, this pork chop makes a beautiful presentation and meal.
Ingredients
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Lemon juice 6 Tablespoon
  Soy sauce 6 Tablespoon
  Garlic 4 Clove (20 gm), finely chopped
  Cornstarch 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  White pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cayenne 1 Pinch
  Pork chops 4 (1 Inch Thick)
  Vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon
  Plum jam 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Sliced almonds 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Toasted)
  Green onion tops 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (For Garnish)
Directions

Combine first 8 ingredients.
Marinate pork chops in mixture in refrigerator 1 hour or overnight.
Remove pork chops, reserving marinade.
Saute pork chops in oil over high heat 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Remove and reserve.
Add marinade and plum jam to pan.
Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon, about 5 minutes.
Return pork chops to pan in single layer.
Simmer, covered, 5 to 7 minutes.
Remove cover and continue cooking 3 to 4 minutes or until pork chops are just cooked through and tender.
To serve, remove chops to serving plate; sprinkle 1 tablespoon almonds over each chop.
Pour sauce over and sprinkle each chop with 1 tablespoon sliced green onion tops.
