Golden Pork Chop Bake

Ingredients
  Pork chops 6 (About 1 Inch Thick)
  Shortening 2 Tablespoon
  Sliced celery 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Condensed golden mushroom soup 21 1⁄2 Ounce (Two Cans Of 10 3/4 Ounce Each)
  Water 1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)
  Packaged precooked rice 1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)
  Chopped tomato 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

1. Brown pork chops on both sides in shortening in a skillet. Remove chops from skillet; drain off excess fat.
2. Saute celery and garlic in skillet. Combine with remaining ingredients. Spoon into a 2-quart shallow baking dish.
3. Arrange chops on top of rice mixture
4. Bake, covered, at 350°F 1 hour, or until chops are fender.
