Pommes De Terre A L'Ail
|Olive oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Streaky bacon||6 Ounce, derinded and chopped (175 Gram)|
|Potatoes||2 Pound, thinly sliced (1 Kilogram)|
|Gruyere cheese||5 Ounce, grated (150 Gram)|
|Garlic||3 Clove (15 gm), crushed|
|Chopped parsley||2 Tablespoon|
|Double cream||4 Tablespoon|
Heat the oil in a heavy-based pan, add the bacon and fry until golden and crisp.
Arrange the potatoes, cheese and bacon in layers in a greased ovenproof dish, seasoning each layer with salt and pepper to taste.
Sprinkle the top with garlic and parsley.
Cover and cook in a preheated moderately hot oven, 190°C (375°F), Gas Mark 5, for 45 to 50 minutes.
Pour over the cream, cover and return to the oven for 5 minutes.
