Pommes De Terre A L'Ail

  Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
  Streaky bacon 6 Ounce, derinded and chopped (175 Gram)
  Potatoes 2 Pound, thinly sliced (1 Kilogram)
  Gruyere cheese 5 Ounce, grated (150 Gram)
  Garlic 3 Clove (15 gm), crushed
  Chopped parsley 2 Tablespoon
  Double cream 4 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste

Heat the oil in a heavy-based pan, add the bacon and fry until golden and crisp.
Arrange the potatoes, cheese and bacon in layers in a greased ovenproof dish, seasoning each layer with salt and pepper to taste.
Sprinkle the top with garlic and parsley.
Cover and cook in a preheated moderately hot oven, 190°C (375°F), Gas Mark 5, for 45 to 50 minutes.
Pour over the cream, cover and return to the oven for 5 minutes.
Serve immediately.
