Pizza Rice Breakfast Casserole
|Ground beef||3⁄4 Pound|
|Onion||1 Medium, chopped|
|Canned tomato sauce||16 Ounce (2 Cans, 8 Ounces Each)|
|Dried parsley flakes||1 Teaspoon|
|Garlic powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Cooked rice||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|4% cottage cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Shredded part skim mozzarella cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1. In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the tomato sauce, sugar, salt, parsley, garlic powder, oregano and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
2. Combine the rice and cottage cheese; spoon half into a greased 11-in. x 7-in. baking dish. Top with half of the meat mixture. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
3. Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 30-35 minutes or until heated through and bubbly.
