Cherry Pizza Dolce
|Biscuit mix||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter||3 Tablespoon, melted|
|Canned apricot halves||1 Pound|
|Grated lemon peel||1 Teaspoon|
|Biscuit mix||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Apricot jam||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cherry brandy||3 Tablespoon|
|Red maraschino cherries||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Walnut halves||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Green maraschino cherries||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Canned pineapple tidbits||8 3⁄4 Ounce (Drained)|
Blend biscuit mix and sugar together; stir in milk and butter.
Knead dough gently 10 times on lightly- floured surface.
Pat out on bottom and side of 12-inch pizza pan.
Prick with fork.
Bake in 450- degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Drain apricots, reserving 1/2 cup syrup.
Mix cornstarch with spices and lemon peel in saucepan; stir in cherry syrup and reserved apricot syrup.
Cook, stirring until thickened and clear.
Add jam; stir over low heat until melted.
Remove from heat; add brandy.
Arrange circles of red cherries, walnuts, apricots and green cherries, beginning at outer edge of pizza.
Fill center with pineapple tidbits.
Pour glaze evenly over fruit.
Chill and serve.
May top each serving with scoop of ice cream if desired.
