Deep Dish Skillet Pizza
|Frozen white bread dough loaf||1 , thawed|
|Bulk pork sausage||12 Ounce, browned and drained|
|Canned mushroom stems and pieces||4 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Chopped onion||2 Tablespoon|
|Canned whole tomatoes||16 Ounce, drained, cut up (1 Can)|
|Canned tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Dried basil leaves||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground oregano||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Garlic powder||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Dried crushed red pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Shredded mozzarella cheese||8 Ounce (2 Cups)|
|Grated parmesan cheese||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Grease 12-inch cast-iron skillet or grill-safe baking dish.
Spread bread dough evenly in bottom and slightly up sides of skillet.
Sprinkle with cooked sausage, mushrooms and onion.
Preheat grill for 10 minutes.
In small mixing bowl, combine tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, sugar, oregano, garlic powder, red pepper and pepper.
Spread on pizza.
Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Bake using indirect MEDIUM-HIGH heat with hood closed until crust is deep golden brown, 40 to 50 minutes.
Let pizza stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
