Breakfast Sausage Pizza
|Canned crescent rolls||16 Ounce (8 Count, Two 8 Ounce Cans)|
|Lean sausage meat||1 Pound (Pork, Beef Or Turkey, Hot Or Mild)|
|Cheese||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), shredded (Cheddar Or Jack)|
|Diced chili||To Taste (Adjust to taste)|
|Jalapeno peppers||To Taste (Fresh Or Canned)|
|Onion||1⁄2 Small, chopped|
|Cooking oil||2 Tablespoon (for sauteing)|
Preheat oven to 375°.
Lightly brown breakfast sausage in a skillet and drain off excess fat.
If you plan to use optional ingredients (peppers or onion), saute them lightly in cooking oil.
Break eggs into a large bowl and beat with a fork as if making scrambled eggs.
Add salt and pepper to taste, optional ingredients if you are using them and stir mixture well.
Line a large, square baking dish or cookie sheet (with a lip) with the crescent roll dough to make the pizza crust.
Shape the dough to make a lip about 1/2 inch high around the edges of the dish to contain the pizza ingredients.
Evenly layer the browned sausage over the dough and pour egg mixture evenly over the top.
Top everything off with grated cheese.
Bake at 375° for 20 to 30 minutes or until egg is cooked in center and crust is brown.
Cut into squares
