Pita Party Pizzas
|Italian style tomato paste with garlic||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Whole wheat pita/Oat bran pita pockets||4 (6 Inch Rounds)|
|Non fat shredded mozzarella cheese/Reduced fat mozzarella cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sliced fresh mushrooms||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Thin onion slice||2 , separated into rings|
|Dried italian seasoning||1 Teaspoon|
|Grated nonfat parmesan cheese/Reduced fat parmesan cheese||2 Tablespoon|
1. Spread 1/4 of the tomato paste on top of each pita pocket. Top with 1/4 of the mozzarella cheese followed by 1/4 of the mushrooms and a few onion rings. Sprinkle with 1/4 of the Italian seasoning and the Parmesan cheese.
2. Place the pita pizzas on a baking sheet, and bake at 450°F for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
